My Story
I have worked as a therapist for over 10 years. My goal is to help people feel more connected, have deeper insight into their strengths and challenges, and further develop tools to navigate life safely and successfully.
Clients see an improvement in their ability to communicate with others, regulate their emotions, and engage in safe and effective behaviors. Parents report feeling more connected to their children and partners as well as improved relationships at work. Young children and adolescents show a decrease in unsafe behaviors at home and school and exhibit healthier relationships. Clients strengthen their ability to articulate feelings, concerns, needs, and thoughts. Clients leave knowing how to identify difficult patterns in thought and behavior, how to cope with them when they arise, and how and when to seek support.
My approach is direct, empathetic, positive, and creative. I work collaboratively and flexibly. I am skilled in using evidenced-based models such as Child Centered Play Therapy and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT). My work integrates influences from: art therapy, structural therapy, narrative therapy, developmental and attachment theories, and CBT/DBT tools.
I offer free 20 minute consultations to see if we are a good match and discuss how best to meet your needs.
* Services are provided weekly via Zoom or in person in Sunnyvale.
I do not take insurance but I can provide a Superbill. *
